Open Journal of Educational Psychology
OJEP provides psychologists, educators, and the wider research community with open-access to high-quality peer-reviewed research and commentary in Educational Psychology. The journal welcomes submissions which address: child development, teaching and learning, emotional health and wellbeing, organisational change in educational settings and psychological practice.
A core feature of the journal is its commitment to publishing research with the potential to improve outcomes for children and young people. The journal considers for publication practice-focussed articles as well as theoretical articles from authors who wish to communicate with a community of practitioners who may not have access to subscription journals.
OJEP has a particular commitment toward publishing work undertaken by students and practitioners who have not previously published in an academic journal. We offer a rigorous but supportive peer review process and do not charge a fee for publication or review.
Call for Papers
Educational Psychology during the COVID19 Pandemic.
During the Covid-19 period, many practitioners have pulled together to support families, children, staff, and schools in creative and flexible ways. It has been a challenge, yet one which has bought opportunities to utilise skills, develop ourselves, and to reconsider our remit and roles as psychologists and practitioners in education.
At OJEP, we think it is important to capture the learning that has taken place and, we are happy to provide a platform to share reflections. We are aware that some practitioners are undertaking internal evaluations, reflective activities, and rapid reviews whilst also considering how to transition back to ‘normal’ working patterns.
If you would like to share your professional reflections or research in the form of a short academic article, we’d like to hear from you. Please send a short summary of your proposed article to us at editors@ojep.org and a member of our editorial board will contact you for an informal discussion.
Further information about our journal’s aims and scope is available in the ‘About OJEP’ section of this website.
